Steven K. Johnson


Steven graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Management at Widener University and a member of Widener’s 1981 Division III National Championship Football team.  He attended Delaware Law School, and upon receipt of his Juris Doctorate in 1987, he served as a law clerk for Superior Court Judge John F. Callinan.

 Following his clerkship, Steven joined the firm of Gruccio, Pepper, Giovinazzi & DeSanto in Vineland, >New Jersey. In 1990, he joined the Linwood-based law firm of his friend, Paul D’Amato, where he gained tremendous experience exclusively handling personal injury cases.

In 1992, Steven opened the Law Offices of Steven K. Johnson, P.C., in Northfield, where he continued to focus on quality representation of the seriously injured. During the course of his career, Steven has handled to conclusion – by either settlement or verdict – thousands of personal injury claims. This extensive litigation experience, combined with a tenacious work ethic and unquestioned integrity, has earned Steven a reputation as one of the area’s premier trial attorneys.

In 1999, Steven was elected to the position of Atlantic County Freeholder, a position he held for six years. A Certified Arbitrator for the Superior Court of New Jersey, Steven is admitted to the practice of law in the State of New Jersey, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.

Steven is a member of the Atlantic County Bar Association and Co-Chair of the organization’s Civil Trial Committee. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association and the American Association for Justice.

When not in the courtroom, Steven often can be found on the football and little league fields in Mays Landing, where he volunteers his time as a coach. Steven resides in Mays Landing with his wife and four children.
